FAQ - Bloomscape Pros

Question 1

How does the seasonal rotation process work?

Accepted Answer

We visit your property four times a year — spring, summer, autumn, and winter — to remove the previous season's plantings and install a fresh arrangement suited to the season. Each visit includes soil refresh, container cleaning, and any structural adjustments needed. You don't need to be home; we coordinate access in advance.

Question 2

Do you supply the containers, or do I need to provide my own?

Accepted Answer

We can work either way. Many clients prefer to use containers they already own, and we're happy to design around them. If you'd like new containers, we source high-quality planters in a range of styles and materials — from classic terracotta to contemporary fibreglass — and can recommend options that suit your property's architecture and budget.

Question 3

What areas of Richmond do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We work throughout the city of Richmond and its surrounding neighbourhoods, including The Fan District, Church Hill, Carytown, the West End, Shockoe Bottom, Scott's Addition, and the Museum District. If you're unsure whether your property falls within our service area, just get in touch and we'll let you know.

Question 4

How much does a typical installation cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing varies depending on the number of containers, the size and complexity of the installation, and whether ongoing maintenance is included. Residential front-door programmes typically start from a few hundred dollars per season, while full commercial programmes are quoted individually. We offer a free consultation and quote for every new client — no obligation.

Question 5

Can you work with commercial properties and HOAs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. A significant portion of our work is commercial — office buildings, hotels, retail destinations, and multi-family properties. We're experienced working with property managers, facilities teams, and HOA boards, and we can accommodate the scheduling and access requirements that come with managed properties.

Question 6

What happens to my plants if there's an unexpected frost or weather event?

Accepted Answer

We monitor Richmond's weather closely and will proactively reach out if a frost or severe weather event threatens your installation. Depending on the situation, we may recommend protective measures, an early swap, or temporary covering — all at no extra charge. Your plantings are our responsibility, and we take that seriously.
